5-5-2014 So many games to play, and so little time... Ps7cho (chocolateTthunder) and I have been having a lot of fun playing Rust on steam. We're both still stoked for Destiny to come out though.
I've just migrated the site to a new host. Everything seems to be working fine. I've still got many improvements to make! So much programming to do. It makes me happy :) ~StudMuffin 2-9-2014 T'was a very eventful day today on Rust. We got raided several times, and were able to make some hackers very angry. Fun for me, I was recording the gameplay, and I got to experiment with iMovie to shorten the 2 hours of gameplay into something submittable to the server admins. I'm not really mad. It was fun, as well as humorous how angry people get over just a game. Maybe it's just because I have a real life... so I don't look for a release or self-empowerment in a virtual world. I'm way above that crap. The only benefit I have in video games is entertainment to play with friends when we're long distances apart.
Although I wasn't angry, I am still a troll... Ps7cho and I went to the hackers base for some 4AM revenge! They just installed bars on their windows, and they only have one door in to their house. So what do we do? We place walls around their door. Now they're forced to abandon the house, or blow a wall with C4. Which I'm sure they will. Fun trolling none the less. 3Ra!!! ~StudMuffin 2-8-2014 So the server we're playing on was wiped clean... Supposably there was a server glitch that caused ALL servers to get wiped.. So we've started over and we've formed some new alliances. We've got a fair team of about 6 of us working on a nice base. We even had our first raid! It was somewhat successful... We even got raided for the first time. I spent several hours repairing and strengthening the base while everyone else was offline. I feel much safer inside now.
Once I figure out how to get the sound recording to work, I'm going to start capturing video of our gameplay. We'll see if I can make a decent first video. Who knows, maybe my Macbook Pro iMovie app will pull through for me. I'll give it a shot. As long as it's not too hard on the computer to play the game and record at the same time.
Still need to make some additional styling changes to the site. HoN is no longer our main game, so I can remove the banner from the top.. Maybe not completely. I've got a sweet 9-6 job now, with an hour and a half commute. My game playing is definitely taking a hit, and I'm not on enough to lead the clan. For this reason, I'm turning over leadership of the clan to Ps7cho. I'll still be here, and really not much will change except the ranking.

To make it easier on everyone, S2 has made it so you can login to HonTour via your Heroes of Newerth account. Login then join the 3Ra team. Be sure you click "JOIN TEAM" and not just "follow". Two very different things.

Users can now update the upcoming parties, make changes to the site-clan roster, add/delete/edit links on the right side (like Sshadowninja's link), and finally change the code to the music box and chat box, with the option to change if the music will automatically play when you visit the site, or not... the LAST thing I MUST finish is making the blog editable. This site would be pretty much unless without it. And of course i need to teach sshadowninja and badprid3 how to login and how to change things. MAN I'm good. Plus, if they screw something up, which I'm sure they will, there are certain things that have reset buttons, which will take the data it's assigned to and reset it to how I've left it. Hooray!
If I have time, they'll be able to change their passwords and emails and stuff from the site should they need to. Which would be a handy feature to have. Additionally I might make it possible for them to create user accounts for other clan members. Probably only officers, so they can make blogs posts too. but it would be ONLY blog posts. To simplify security only badpride and shadowninja will be able to do Everything. and only they can edit and delete blog posts... additional security. Maybe I'll even add an IP banlist, so if a member abuses their site account they can ban the account, or ban the IP so they can't access it at all :P from that certain IP anyway. Maybe.... only logged in members can see the chatbox... and only registered members can see private blog posts.. Man I'm getting carried away here now; having too much fun. Eh, I'll see what I have do in one and a half days... Coding is just too much fun for me ^_^ And all this coding makes me feel like the clan site is some-what more legit than it was supposed to be before... lol. G'Night ~StudMuffin 8-21-2010 I'm proud of myself! It's 5AM now... but in the past 3 hours I've gotten substantial ammounts of coding done on the clan site! The blog, the Leadership Roster, the Chat box, the music box, Upcoming events, and Friend Site Links have all been put into the database for easy editing! I've even got a good login script working. Now I'm finishing up making it so BADprid3 and Sshadowninja can easily update the clan site while I am unable to do so. Additionally, when I get back, it'll be much easier for me to update the blog and such! Hooray! I feel so accomplished. you have no idea. None of you can actually see that I've done much, but I've completely revamped the sites core programming. Quite a task really, even for such a small site. I hope I don't forget how to do all this in 2 years.. because MAN!-I'm good. I could make lots of money doing this kind of thing :P

I'll see if I can't get on to play though. I'm downloading HoN to my dads laptop right now, then i'll have to flash it over to my grandparents computer as a backup. Chances are my mom will be on this laptop most of the trip... This also brings me to the saddening task of giving up my leadership position in the clan. You see, on August 24th, I'll be leaving to serve a 2 year mission trip in Jacksonville Florida. As part of this trip I wont be allowed on the computer but once a week, strictly to check emails. This also means no HoN for 2 years, which is why I will be giving up the leadership. Or rather, passing it on until I get back. But of course when I get back I'll have a lot to learn anyway. If you notice any that arent' just give me a holler. I'll be working to clean up the look of this site over the next several days, hopefuly to get it working properly with other web browsers. Since firefox is what I use, it will continue to be the one that works best. I'll also be adding a cool feature to the site. Well, cool to me. Aside from that depressing and awesome news, I've created my own HoNmod! ok.. so I didn't make it myself. I took someone elses mod and changed it to how I liked it, as well as added a few things in. If you've ever played DotA, the mother of the HoN idea, then you might enjoy this. It's got a few of the good old sounds from the DotA announcer. The original mod had ALL of them... well, I kinda like some of HoN's, so I moved them around and deleted some to produce a mod with just the ones I want. And to answer some questions, yes, it has the Holy **** sound... haha. I may change it in the future to fade out the **** part. I've also changed the Victory and Defeat sounds. Now they play music! Victory will play the happy theme song we as friends here in Texas loved to hear when we gathered to play video games. the Defeat sound is a little depressing sounding, because if you hear it you must suck, thus it fits the theme of the moment :D check it!

If you've ever heard of Warcraft III Frozen Throne, and the DotA game(or add-on multiplayer map) that goes along with it, that's basically what HoN is. The difference? Well, you could say it's on steroids. Better graphics, more intense game-play, different characters and a slew of other things. It has a firm center around online game-play. The boys at S2 have really picked up something good here. While it's the same thing as DotA, it's very different in a good way, it's better! If you think you're good enough to try it out, you can visit their website. Although you should look for them on facebook to get a BETA key. I believe you can also pre-purchase the game to receive a beta key, and secure your game name for the future! Or you can ask me. If we're good enough friends i might give you one ;)
